Disclosure of Beneficial Interest in Securities
In accordance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008 and
section 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are hereby
advised that Aveng received formal notification that as a result of the Specific Issue
of the shares to the Bondholders ("Specific Issue") as detailed in the announcement
dated Tuesday 11 September 2018, the total interest in the ordinary shares of Aveng
held by:
1. Allan Gray's clients amounted to 16.24 % of the total issued ordinary
shares of Aveng. Subsequent to this Specific Issue, Allan Gray has
disposed an interest in the ordinary shares of the Company, such that the
total interest in the ordinary shares of the Company held by Allan Gray's
clients now amounts to 14.44% of the total issued ordinary shares of the
Company.
2. JPMorgan Chase & Co amounts to 14.29% of the total issued ordinary
shares of Aveng. This includes the 10.07% and 4.22% holdings by
Highbridge Capital Management, LLC and J.P. Morgan Securities plc,
respectively, being subsidiaries of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
3. Old Mutual amounted to 5.54% of the total issued ordinary shares of
Aveng. Subsequent to this Specific Issue, Old Mutual has disposed of an
interest in the Ordinary shares of the Company, such that the total interest
in the ordinary shares of Aveng held by Old Mutual now amounts to
1.16% of the total issued ordinary shares of Aveng.
