today by Barplats Investments Limited (Barplats), an 83% held subsidiary of     
Implats.                                                                        
Although the Barplats profit warning will have a minimal impact on the results  
of Implats for the six months ended 31 December 2002, the effect will be        
insignificant as Barplats previously contributed less than 1% to Implats`       
earnings.
