M-Cell Limited ("M-Cell") Management Changes
The M-Cell board has been conscious of the need to make a long-term
permanent appointment to the post of Group Chief Executive of the company.
Mr Paul Edwards currently serves in this position on a limited duration
contractual basis.
Shareholders are accordingly advised that Mr Phuthuma Nhleko has accepted an
invitation to assume the post of Chief Executive of the Group effective from
1 July 2002.  In consequence the board is currently considering the matter
of the appointment of a non-executive Chairman in succession to Mr Nhleko.
Paul Edwards will continue to make his services available on a consulting
and advisory basis until the completion of his contractual arrangements.
Phuthuma Nhleko has a long and distinguished business career in South Africa
and is currently Chief Executive of the Worldwide African Group having
served in this position over a nine-year period.  His new appointment takes
effect from 1 July 2002.
