IMPLATS APPOINTS A NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, Implats is pleased to
announce the appointment of Ms Mpho Nkeli as independent non-executive director to the Board of
Directors with immediate effect.

Ms Nkeli, MBA and BSc (Environmental Sciences), is a business woman who has built her reputation
in various leadership positions. She was the previous chairman of the Commission of Employment
Equity. She was a non-executive director of Ellerine Holdings Limited and African Bank Investments
Limited. She has also served as an executive board member of Vodacom South Africa and Alexander
Forbes Group.
