APPOINTMENT OF MANAGING DIRECTOR OF AVENG GRINAKER-LTA

The Aveng Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Botha as Managing
Director of Aveng Grinaker-LTA with effect from 2 January 2014.

Mr Botha, currently the Chief Operating Officer for the Civil Cluster of businesses at
Murray & Roberts, has 21 years’ experience in the construction industry in South Africa
and elsewhere on the African continent, having worked for Group Five, Concor and
Murray & Roberts. His responsibilities have included managing Concor’s opencast
mining, roads & earthworks and civils operations, as well as Murray & Roberts’ power
division, where he has been chairman of the Medupi Power Station Joint Venture.

Mr Botha will work closely with Brian Wilmot, who has been acting as interim MD at
Aveng Grinaker-LTA. Mr. Wilmot will assist in the handover to Mr Botha. Thereafter in
his capacity as MD of Aveng Construction Africa, Mr Wilmot will continue to contribute to
the turnaround of Aveng Grinaker-LTA, with particular emphasis on positioning the
business for sustainable growth by developing opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa.


Aveng Group is also pleased to announce that the senior management team of Aveng
Grinaker-LTA has been strengthened by the recent appointment of five senior operations
executives. These executives bring between 21 and 40 years’ experience in the fields of
financial business, systems management, commercial management, roads and
earthworks and civil engineering. It is pleasing to note that three are former employees
who have decided to return to Aveng.
