Implats wishes to advise that a work stoppage involving rock drill operators    
(RDO`s) numbering approximately 5 000 employees began on Friday, 20 January 2012
and continues today at the Company`s Rustenburg operations.  The work stoppage  
is related to salary grievances.                                                
A court order has declared the strike illegal and the Company will follow due   
legal process with all employees who do not report for duty on Tuesday, 24      
January 2012.
