RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR                                                         
Impala Platinum Holdings Limited (Implats) advises that Mr LC van Vught has     
resigned as an independent non-executive director from the board of the company 
with effect from 30 June 2009.                                                  
Mr van Vught joined the Implats board in 2004 and during his tenure he served on
both the Remuneration and Audit Committees. The Company would like to express   
its sincere thanks to Mr van Vught for his invaluable contribution to the       
Company over the last number of years.
