APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND CHAIRMAN                              
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, the board is
pleased to announce that Dr Heidi Grimmer has been appointed as a non-executive 
director and chairman of the company with immediate effect.                     
Dr Grimmer has been involved in the biochemistry and food science fields since  
graduating with her PhD from the University of Witwatersrand in1993, initially  
as a flavour chemist and in technical sales support and currently as the New    
Product Development Technical Brewer at the South African Breweries Ltd.  In    
addition to having co-authored numerous published papers, Dr Grimmer obtained   
her MBA from the University of Edinburgh in 2007.                               
The current directors are of the opinion that Dr Grimmer`s scientific, technical
and management background will be of great value to the company and welcome her 
to the board.
