Focus and Objective
|
The aim of the Irish Life International US$ Global Opportunity Fund is to achieve a return of at least 8% pa in excess of the US dollar 1 month Treasury bill index over the medium term, ie, rolling 5 year periods through an aggressive investment strategy which focuses on higher growth opportunities globally.
The objective of the fund is achieved by investing up to 100% of the fund's assets in a diversified portfolio of global equities with an emphasis on higher growth opportunities such as smaller companies, technology, media and telecom stocks as well as emerging markets on a selective basis. While the market selection strategy for this fund may be similar to the Growth Fund the manager will more aggressively pursue potential growth. The funds are managed using a proprietary multi-manager investment strategy. This strategy involves allocating portions of the fund to specialist third party fund managers who are selected by the investment adviser, based on criteria for producing consistent superior returns and who in aggregate, are most likely to achieve the overall objectives of the fund.
