| Daniel Sacks, BSc (Hons), CFA |
| Daniel is the sector head of resources at Investec Asset Management and portfolio manager on the Investec Commodity Fund unit trust. He joined Investec Asset Management in October 1997 as a portfolio administrator before moving to the research department in 1999 to begin working as an investment analyst on resources. Daniel received his Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town in 1995, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
Daniel joined Investec Asset Management in October 1997 as a Portfolio Administrator. In 1999 he moved to the research department and began working as an investment analyst focusing on resources. In January 2003, Daniel was made Head of Resources and assumed responsibility for the Investec Commodity Fund. |

Focus and Objective
|
The fund aims to achieve capital appreciation through investment in gold mining shares, on a world-wide basis, but predominantly in Australia, South Africa and Canada. Movements in the gold price are likely to have a more than proportionate effect on the profitability of gold mining companies with consequent implications for the volatility of their share prices.
